History

Government Graduate College for Women, Bhalwal
This college was established in September 1976 as an inter college in a rented building in Chak No. 8 North. In November 1983, the plot of land for the Ladies Park was acquired for the college building. Since August 14, 1987, this institution has achieved a prominent position as the largest college for women in Tehsil Bhalwal with its excellent results. In September 1989, this institution was upgraded to a degree college. Currently, arrangements are in place for teaching subjects prescribed for FA, FSc, ADP, and BS degrees at the graduate college level.

The college is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sargodha for intermediate level and with the country's best university, the University of Sargodha, at the degree level. The spacious college building spread over 56.5 kanals of land, peaceful educational environment, library, computer lab, playground, and multiple science laboratories fully meet the needs of the students. The experienced and highly educated teachers of the institution work with great effort and sincerity for the character building and personality development of the students. Various sports and co-curricular activities are also organized in the college for the physical, mental, and moral training of the students.

To highlight the creative abilities of the students, the college magazine "Shafaq" is published annually. Due to the full encouragement of the students' participation in curricular and co-curricular activities, the students of this institution have achieved prominent honors at the district and provincial levels. This institution is unique due to its glorious traditions; its alumni are spreading the light of their knowledge and skills in various walks of life. Prospective students and their parents are invited to benefit from the profound knowledge of highly educated, efficient, and intelligent teachers.
